Mike Marrah is Assistant Vice Chancellor and Associate General Counsel at Washington University where he also serves as Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research and the co-Director of the University's Office of Technology Management. His legal practice covers all aspects of intellectual property law including patent prosecution, and licensing transactions, sponsored research, research collaborations, and general intellectual property matters. Mike received his B.S. in microbiology from Western Illinois University and his J.D. from Washington University School of Law.
Mike began his legal career as an associate in the government contract litigation group of Coburn & Croft before focusing on intellectual property after that firm's merger with Thompson & Mitchell. Most recently, Mike was a partner at Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP where he provided intellectual property counsel to clients in various high technology fields including pharmaceuticals, genetics, proteomics, computer science and the mechanical and medical device arts.
Mike Marrah is a member of the Missouri Bar, the American Intellectual Property Lawyers Association, and the National Association of College and University Attorneys.
