Mr. Goddard is Assistant General Counsel for Washington University. His practice covers a wide spectrum of corporate litigation and healthcare activities. He devotes a substantial portion of his practice to regulatory and corporate compliance in the areas of federal grants, research integrity, effort reporting, export controls, and environmental health and safety. He also handles software licensing, litigation management, and insurance matters.
Mr. Goddard received his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and his J.D. from Washington University. After law school, he served as a law clerk to Judge Raymond Gruender in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Prior to joining the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor and General Counsel Mr. Goddard served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri. He is an adjunct professor for Washington University School of Law.
Mr. Goddard is a member of the Missouri Bar, the American Bar Association, the Association of Corporate Counsel, and the National Association of College and University Attorneys.
